Government ICT Goes Green

Let Capitoline help you go green. We design and audit data centres and typically improve cooling efficiency from 30% to nearer 95%. We are registered Low Carbon Consultants and active promoters of the EU code of conduct for data centres. Capitoline Partner Barry Elliott is also an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer allowing us to design your data centre for resilience. Capitoline are truly indpendent consultants..

Design

We designed Cheshire County Council's new data centre incorporating free air cooling to improve energy efficiency and are currently assisting Anglesey, Blackburn and Darwin and Kent County Council in implementing energy efficient designs.

Audits

We audited Durham Police data centre for compliance against the EU code of conduct for data centres and to identify efficiency improvements which could be made. We have audited numerous other data centres to recommend ways of improving efficiency and lowering their carbon footprint across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. We developed, implemented and maintain the Amsterdam Internet Exchange audit standard.

Training

You can learn the key to high efficiency data centre design through our unique 3-day Certified DCD Data Centre design course. Unique because it is taught by consultants actively involved in data centre design and auditing. Capitoline partner Barry Elliott was the first to construct a data centre design course and this has been, and is still, continually updated by Capitoline partner Matt Flowerday to incorporate the latest best practice and standards.

Learn best practice management of your data centre on our 2-Day Certified DCOM Data Centre Operations Management course . This has been developed from our extensive auditing experience. Learn why data centres fail and how to stop it happening. Understand what processes and procedures should be in place to improve efficiency and reliability.
